Putter Fitting
Air density barely touches a putt — but the green underneath it does, and that's where our travel clients run into trouble.
Bermuda at Home, Bentgrass on the Trip
Most Frisco courses run on Bermuda greens, which grow with a strong grain and tend to run slightly slower and grabbier than the bentgrass greens common at higher-elevation mountain courses. Combined with a faster stimpmeter reading up there, that difference catches a lot of traveling golfers off guard on the first few holes.
Length, lie angle, and face balance are fit to your stroke mechanics on our stroke-capture surface, and we pair that fitting with practical guidance on reading pace differences before a trip.
Levers We Pull During a Putter Session
Length & Lie
Set to your posture and eye position at address, checked with both your normal grip and stance on the capture surface.
Face Balance
Toe-hang, face-balanced, or something between — matched to whether your stroke arcs or stays straight back and through.
Head Weight & Grip
Heavier heads and thicker grips can quiet an active stroke; lighter setups suit a golfer who needs more natural feel and touch.
Read the First Green, Don't Guess It
We coach every travel client to spend their warm-up time specifically comparing pace on the practice green to what they expect at home, rather than assuming their usual stroke translates one-to-one to a faster or slower surface.
Book Your Putter Session
