What Golfers Usually Ask Before Booking

What is "density altitude," and why should I care about it?
Density altitude is a single number that combines elevation, temperature, and humidity into the effective altitude your golf ball experiences. Hot, humid Texas air can behave like a higher elevation than the ground actually is, and a cold, dry morning can behave like a lower one. We fit against that number instead of your literal elevation above sea level.
I only play in Frisco — does this still apply to me?
Yes. Density altitude swings meaningfully between a cold January morning and a muggy August afternoon right here at home, not just between cities. If your carry numbers feel inconsistent season to season, this is usually why.
I travel to play golf in the mountains a few times a year — what do you build for that?
We can build a single "travel-calibrated" spec that splits the difference intelligently between home and altitude conditions, or a secondary set of loft/lie adjustments you dial in before a trip. We'll walk through both options and the trade-offs during your session.
How long does a fitting session take?
Single-club fittings (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag assessment typically takes 2–3 hours.
Do I have to buy clubs after my fitting?
No. There's no obligation to purchase. You'll receive a written spec report with our recommendations, and if you order later, your fitting fee is credited in full toward the build.
What should I bring to my session?
Bring your current clubs relevant to the fitting, the shoes you normally wear to play, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it. If you're prepping for a trip, bring the destination and rough dates too.
Is a launch monitor fitting really better than just trying demo clubs?
Guessing whether a demo club "feels" longer is unreliable — distance perception is notoriously inaccurate. Our launch monitor captures ball speed, spin rate, launch angle, and dispersion on every swing, so comparisons are based on numbers, not feel.
How long does it take to receive new clubs after ordering?
Most builds are finished in-house within one week of ordering, since we stock components and build on-site rather than sending orders to an outside factory queue.
Do you fit left-handed golfers?
Yes. Our demo wall carries left-handed heads across every major category, and the fitting bay works identically for right- and left-handed golfers.
Do you offer follow-up adjustments after a build?
Yes. Any loft, lie, or length adjustment needed within 30 days of a build is included at no additional charge as your swing settles into the new clubs.
