Built for Golfers Whose Courses Don't Sit at One Elevation
Elevation Fit Golf started with a simple observation: most fitting charts assume you always play in the same air. Almost nobody actually does.
A Frisco Golfer's Trip to Angel Fire Started This
Our founder ran a standard iron fitting for a client in the spring of 2016, built a clean, tight-dispersion set at Frisco field elevation, and sent him off for a golf trip in northern New Mexico three weeks later. He came back frustrated — the same swing, the same clubs, and shots landing ten to fifteen yards long on nearly every approach. Nothing was wrong with the fitting. The air at 8,400 feet was simply thinner than the chart used to build his spec had ever accounted for.
That trip became the reason this studio exists. We built our fitting process around density altitude — the single number that folds elevation, temperature, and humidity into one figure — instead of a fixed sea-level assumption, and we've fit thousands of clubs against real condition data since.
Density Altitude Is the Whole Model, Not a Footnote
A lot of fitting studios mention "altitude adjustment" as an afterthought if you happen to ask. For us, it's the framework every session runs on.
Three Variables, One Number
We don't stop at elevation. Temperature and relative humidity shift air density just as much, and we fold all three into the target we fit against.
Built for Travelers
Roughly half our clients play a mountain course at least once a year. We build travel-aware specs, not just home-course specs, without you having to ask.
In-House Build Bench
Every recommendation gets assembled and verified on-site, so what leaves our shop matches the spec we agreed on down to the half-degree.
North Dallas, Off Warren Parkway
Our studio sits in Frisco just west of the Dallas North Tollway, a short drive from Stonebriar and The Star. Most clients are local to Frisco, Plano, and The Colony, though we regularly see golfers driving in from further out across North Texas for a full bag session.
